I've searched and couldn't find a file with discrete codes to control power on and power off functions for the DirecTV HR20-700 (HD DVR). I determined that the discrete codes for power on DirecTV's remote only function if you have the remote programmed to control another component. I programmed a different component (hopefully this doesn't power on/off another component of yours because I chose a code one digit different from Mitsubishi TV's). I tested and it works with my DVR. The discrete power off will not turn on the unit, nor will the discrete power on turn off the unit.
60.
A complete setup for this device. (RC34)

This is a collection of learned commands for a Hughes DirecTV/TiVo unit set to code 2. It includes macros for all TiVo Central shortcuts, plus macros for System Information and a 30-second skip that toggles 30-second skip on, performs the skip, and then toggles it off. This allows both use of 30-second skip and retains the 'skip-to-end' function.
62.
A complete setup for this device.
63.
All codes from the original remote control.
64.
A complete set of codes for this device.

This has two sets of codes for the HR20, both the HR20 codes and the AVI codes which will allow a user to control two DVRs without conflicts. The layout has several buttons for other macros and jumps which can be removed for a cleaner look. Remember to set the device properties for IR or RF operation. Thanks to Daniel Tonks for the graphics!
